The Spirit

WHAT THE NOVEMBER?

No arthritis! Yippie!!!

I can’t believe the weather is changing the leaves are falling and it’s time for winter to be ushered in. Luckily for me I won’t have winter storms like out west but the wind is a blowin' and the temp is dropping but only to about 50 :p. I thought I might brag a little bit.

The week is going amazing and the work is hastening. We have had a lot of good things happen here in Conyers. We have had a lot of less active families start coming back to church. Most of the time everyone needs an invitation, a friend to come back to church. The prophets and apostles have just been harping on home teaching especially to the less active and down trodden. These are the most low hanging fruit that we could possibly have around us. It accomplishes 2 things. 1 you reactivate them. 2 they can introduce and baptize their friends. How simple is that but all we have to do is get out there invite them back and love them.... Truly love them actually be their friend and they will accept. Now some may not but we have to try :)

We had a really neat experience with a YSA who has been struggling with her testimony the past couple years. But her name is Liz and we had the prompting to go over to her house yesterday afternoon around 4pm. As we sat down and talked to Liz, Elder Schell did a cup lesson basing it off of our relationship with good. (We had no idea what she needed) but she completely broke down. The spirit was so strong and she told us about her life. Something we had no idea what to expect and what to say really, but the spirit was there and guided our mouths on what to say. I still can’t even remember what we said to her but I know that it touched her heart. It helped my understand that as we are obedient and as we will be willing to listen the spirit will guide our heart and our minds :) be loyal to the spirit my friends.

We had mission council this week on Tuesday. Its where all the leaders (zone leaders and sister training leaders) get together and council on how to help the mission take the next step. It was really cool to talk about just realizing that the missionaries need to understand who they represent....  We all can say it but do we really understand that? Do we really understand the nature of God? Do we know who our father in heaven really is? It’s something that we all need to ask ourselves  but something else I learned is that we were talking about obedience and disobedience and what causes it. And simply what I learned was disobedience is simply sin. We simply can’t have it or accept it. We have to take that next step :)

Well folks I love you all so much thanks for letting me take a little time out of your day to write my thoughts and feelings. Have a good week! Work hard and play hard :)

Love,
E Mac
