Week of Miracles

Hello familia!

The mission: what can I say about the mission! It’s amazing. Despite all the heartache and investigators not coming to church, it’s still the most amazing experience I have ever played a part in. I love the work of the Lord. How amazing it is to see the work hastening so much. It’s really a blessing to be a part of. I know that my life will never been the same. I have truly changed into a worthy man who Heavenly Father wants me to be. I’m not quite where I feel like I want to be but it’s a work in progress. Just like in normal life.

Had some cool experiences this week with some amazing miracles and amazing people. I know my emails sound random but I never know what to write....

1st miracle: we just got out of an exchange with another set of elders (training purposes) and got home to start planning for the week and finish some business that we haven’t been able to work on yet. And we decided to call the sister who has a friend we are teaching. As we call I said the normal stuff but I asked how are you twice. First time she said the regular "I’m good, you?" and I asked it again for some reason (the spirit duh!!!) But she said that she’s going to the ER for they are taking the baby in for she hurt her arm playing in the living room. So we ran over to Children’s and were able to pronounce a blessing on her daughter that she may be healed. Only by the grace of God, and the spirit and by the priesthood, that everything was able to work out for the better. It’s a miracle that the spirit prompted us to be home to say the right things and to do the Father’s work.

2nd miracle: had a man named Robert Lutmer come out with us yesterday. Nothing spectacular happened. The spirit that this dear brother brought was truly amazing. Just if you looked at him you would say other things... Doesn’t have a testimony, less active so on and so forth but he literally is a disciple of Christ. He told the most heartfelt stories about his mother and father. How he gained a testimony and how this church is the most important thing in his life. (I can promise you I feel the same way.) I would never, ever trade this gospel for anything. Never trade this experience for anything. I know that so many blessings are coming to those I love. I see some blessings but the true blessings are those that come to those I love.

I know that this church is true. There is no doubt in my mind that it is true. That Joseph Smith restored this gospel through Jesus Christ. I know He lives and that He loves us. I know that without a doubt in my mind. Serving is best way to give back to Christ for his perfect and infinite atonement.

I love you all so much!
Love,
Elder Macoubrie

P.s I hope you get feeling better. I’ll be praying for you
