Just 7 Months To Go!

Hello la familia!

What a week it has been! And can I just say that I love this work! I love being a missionary I love serving my Savior Jesus Christ. I love living breathing and dreaming and everything else about this work. I can’t believe how short of time I have left and how sad that makes me. For those you don’t know I just rounded my 17 month mark and begin the downward slope to 24. But it never is downward it is always improvement and increase. The Lord is amazing.
Good news about transfers! So Elder Wahlen and I are staying together for another 6 weeks and what a relief that is. Other cool and exciting news is that the ward that I am in... The Atlanta Ward is now having 10 companionships all in one ward! That is astounding! I doubt there is no other place that has this many missionaries! Family, the Lord is coming back and we need to start preparing now so that we will be ready when He comes. If we aren’t its going to be the sad and dreadful day. And glorious and happy for the Lord’s covenant people.

This week has really been a struggle I won’t lie. I say this not in a wo wo upon Elder Macoubrie but it’s interesting how the Lord makes plans and we are here to carry those plans out. Elder Wahlen and I have decided to make some different decisions that will enable all missionaries to be more obedient and more effective. We didn’t know why we decided to do that but we did it. Now since there will be a lot more elders and sisters in just one ward the ward will really thank us. It’s been hard to see how some not so obedient missionaries can continue to baptize and can be effective when others are busting their butt to find teach and baptize. It’s been another struggle of mine trying to find the balance of what the Lord expects of me. All I want and desire in life is to be exactly who the Lord wants me to be. It’s been hard to find that and to understand who I am. But I’m thankful for other missionaries who continue to listen to the spirit and are able to put me back in check because they were willing to listen.

Things have been great! The weather is slowing starting to change and the mornings are starting to get colder and I love it! I love this church and I love this gospel. All is well in the life of Elder Macoubrie down here serving in the Georgia Atlanta Mission :)

Love,
E mac
