A Baptism in Atlanta

Well hello there everybody!

Patience is a process to achieve perfection

The work of the Lord is amazing and how I love to be here on my mission. The Lord is hastening His work and it’s so amazing and astounding to see that the work will never stop from progressing. The work will never stop no matter how hard the devil tries he will always lose! But he will definitely take as many people as he can with him. It’s really sad that he has to do it that way but hey that’s what happens when you’re miserable.

Atlanta is amazing. Midtown is awesome! Not much really has changed in the area other than new place. The people are mostly the same just different area and sometimes different circumstances. Judith is still coming along! We went over and talked to her about baptism again but she hasn’t committed to a date so as a companionship Elder Whalen and I talked about it and decided that we are going to take things more slow with her and help her feel the Spirit for the Lord to do all the work (not like he doesn’t do it already!)

But amazing news!!! George Warui got baptized this weekend for us. George was a man that we were teaching and the assistants to the president came over to talk to us about training purposes and invited us to baptize that week. Sadly we didn’t have anyone but we prayed and asked the Lord to lead us to someone. George had a date but he it was supposed to be for his week the 3rd. Filled with hope and increasing faith, we took the challenge. Invited him to be baptized and he accepted! Everything went good providing that we only had about 2 days to plan the baptism. It really has been an amazing week full of miracles. It’s so awesome to see that when you’re exactly obedient and expect the Lord to provide a way for things to happen that it will happen. And I know that because I have seen it this week.

Elder Whalen and I have been so busy! Having to worry about our own personal area and the zone and then commitments we have made and getting stuff done that the stake has asked us to do it’s been pretty awesome. Stressful as all get out but it’s been a very rewarding week. It’s really helped me become more humble and more willing to work. There are things that we (as a people) generally don’t want to do but I know that the Lord asks us to do them so that we may stretch and become more like God; to learn Christ-like attributes and to grow; to strengthen our weaknesses. It’s not the easiest thing to do or the most comfortable but it’s the process of life. Its the circle of life :)

You are all so awesome.

Love you all so much! Keep being awesome!

Love,
E mac
