He Hears Our Prayers

Kimmie!

Happy 6 years!

How the Lord hears our prayers!

Lesson learned for this week! It’s so awesome to see that when we are completely obedient and work hard and are always prayer to the Almighty God that He will answer our prayers. Again it’s not on our time table but it’s always in the time that He needs and that is aligned with His will. We were challenged to go and find families and teach them about eternal life and invite them to baptism. It’s such a miracle and a blessing that families will be found. Found this amazing family from a referral we received from a senior couple in another area. Marchay and Lawson Johnson let us in their home and accepted a lesson from us and accepted a baptismal date for the 8/24! It’s amazing how many prayers He hears and how many prayers He answers on a daily basis.

The work is amazing. I love being on a mission and serving full time for the Savior, Jesus Christ. There is no other experience I would trade this for or any other worldly possession for this time. I know President Harding is an inspired man of God and he continues to receive revelation daily for the mighty missionaries around GA. I wish I had enough time to write you all about the experiences that I have daily talking to new people and the things people say. But there will be plenty of time after the mission for that amazing time.

Roland is another investigator we are teaching who really wants to change his life. He used to be a drug dealer and lived on the streets and lived a life style that really wasn’t in harmony with our Savior’s but some sister missionaries went over to his house and referred us to him and we are now teaching him. He is preparing to be baptized next week on the 17th. Moral of the story is don’t judge a book by its cover. Never doubt the Lord. He will do miracles if we do all we can to receive them and expect them to come. I promise that they will come.

Everything is good. Elder Macoubrie is amazing and Elder Whalen keeps helping me learn. It’s so amazing again that as we just set apart a couple minutes or hours if needed to the gospel and that we have real intent that we are almost guaranteed that we will have a spiritual experience. GA is so amazing. The weather is definitely getting hotter as summer is winding down to a close but the mornings are sure nice:) nothing too bad. I love Atlanta. There are so many families.

This next statement sounds really apostate but I love how the mission brain washes you to become a better person. I don’t think about who I can baptize! I am now trying to wrap my head around families. Live sleep, eat, drink about baptizing families! That’s my whole purpose. I have to find families and especially baptize them (as that’s what I have been called to do) for Christ. That’s our purpose as missionaries. That’s our purpose as members of the restored church. That’s our purpose in life is to become prepared to live worthily in the presence of God with our families! Never forget it. Don’t lose sight. Families are so important. And I know that to be true:)

Love,
E mac
Keep the vision!
Keep smiling! :)
