New Bike

Hey y’all!

What a great day it is to be alive. The sun is still shining and well I’m still on a mission. So it can’t be too bad. Not much really has happened this week. I guess a little recap I forgot what it was like to ride a bike. I haven’t really been on one for a year so that was an experience. I picked up a sweet deal off Craigslist (with permission of course). Nice little K2. Not my type but it will suffice. It’s like a nice little hybrid type bike with road bike tires. Just to let you know what I have to do. Elder Hoching and I have to ride like 4 miles just to actually be able to go see some people. And then to go to church it’s another 4. But I’m not complaining I love it. Elder Hoching isn’t a fan but he better get used to it. Haha

Haven’t done all that much. Didn’t have a whip until Wednesday night but we spent most of the week going down to Pepboys to get the car done. (I hate Pepboys) I could have done a better job than they did if I had the tools. But they won’t let me :( instead I get to work on my bike :)
Tuesday was pretty awesome day. Woke up at 5 to get up to the temple by 7:30am to go do some service pulling out all the bloomed winter flowers to make room for the summer flowers. That’s the first time that I have ever had to pull good plants. Tulips and daises and plants like that. But it really gave me a desire to work at the temple when I return home if I could. It also wanted to make me want to go to the temple more and more. But I can’t do that quite yet. Maybe before I leave Union City I’ll be able to make it to the temple. Mostly because it’s only an hour ride on MARTA. The rest of the week and just been riding and riding.

Tasha has started to come back to church and re investigate and this time it sounds like she is really committed. I can’t lose her this time. It sucks when investigators lose the steam and get anti-ed by idiots who don’t know. But she’s back and I’ll get her this time.

I went to my first AA class with an investigator and boy was that awesome. She just told her story of how she overcame alcohol. She has an awesome story. I really felt the spirit and the power of the atonement. It’s so amazing to hear those stories. I love them. Gives me more inspiration to keep finding and keep trying and keep going. You never know who you will find unless you ask. Nothing happens if you don’t ask and if you don’t try. Therefore everybody ask your friends to come to church to read the Book of Mormon to do something. “Act on spiritual promptings and don’t be a chicken."

I would also like to invite everybody to read and study PMG and apply those principles into your life. I have and guess what it will change your life. So please read and study it along with the Book of Mormon and Bible.

Training and missionary work is great. Elder Hoching is learning quick and trying to be the best. There are things that he needs to work on but hey don’t we all? So it’s good. I love being a missionary. I love doing the amazing gift of saving souls and helping them receive eternal life. I wish everybody could know what I feel. I wish everybody could experience what I have. Because it will really change how you see the world and how you see our brothers and sisters that are all around us. We don’t have to judge people because we know that they are our brothers and sisters.
Thanks everybody for your love and support. You guys really lift me up and make me want to work harder.

Love,
Elder macoubrie
