Training a New Companion!

Hey hey hey!!!

Well so much has changed in the life of Elder Macoubrie. Now it’s no longer Elder Macoubrie it’s Elder Macoubrie the trainer. So my new companion’s name is Elder Hoching. He is a pretty big poly from California. It’s definitely been a change for me. From going around doing the same old same ol’ to showing how things work and how we do them in this mission. Its definitely been quite a change. He probably the only companion that could beat me up in fight haha so I better be careful. It’s been a change that I don’t know if I was ready for but its definitely a change that Heavenly Father saw would benefit me and help me develop the Christ-like attributes. All I asked for was for was to be more obedient and to have more patience. Something I wish I was better at and Heavenly Father answered my prayer.

The weather has just been awesome. It’s been able to get over 75 degrees and I was able to take my suit jacket off and was able to work without it and boy was that nice! It hasn’t been too hot and not too cold but it’s been nice. Everybody says that we are in a drought but I don’t see one. It’s really funny to listen to them but I know that at home we need the moisture more there than out here.

Tasha missed her baptismal date. She is supposed to be baptized this week but she won’t be able to make it because her son got sick and ended up in the hospital. We haven’t been able to teach her anything this week and she didn’t come to church. But that’s alright she will make it before General Conference and everything will be all fine and dandy with her. That ward has really been able to rally around her and give her the support she needs to be able to be able to make this huge decision in her life. And Anthony Burnette was ordained to the office of priest yesterday and that was really exciting! He’s going to be such an amazing priesthood holder not only in his home but in the ward.

There really hasn’t been much happening this week. We have had a lot of appointments but many of them fell through. It’s so tough when it happens but the Lord really has a plan for us and all it takes is for us to be obedient and for us to show Him that we are doing all that we can do and He will bless us. Even though we don’t have success we still have to be obedient. We still have to keep trying. It’s not an excuse for us to stop trying and give up because we don’t see the results. The Ensign this month was awesome! You all should go get it and read it and really prepare yours self for General Conference coming up this next month. It’s coming fast and we need to prepare to hear the prophet and the apostles speak :) I’m excited.

Well everybody you guys are awesome!!! I love you guys. Keep on a trucking!!!

Love
Elder mac
