Transferred (?!)

In Elder Macoubrie's last letter, he gave us his physical address so we could send packages for Christmas directly to him (I removed it since it is no longer valid). Then this happened the next day, all via e-mail:

  • Elder Macoubrie: I got transferred so don't be sending any mail to that address in Macon please. I'll tell you where when I talk to you on Christmas because I don't know where yet. Thanks Merry Christmas.
  •  Dad:  Too late, I sent it this morning, sorry.
  • Kim: I already sent some items there. Two packages. One from Target and one from me. Shoot. Can they hold your stuff at the apartment or do they need to send it back?
  • Elder Macoubrie: They will hold it and get it to me. Some other way through other missionaries. It will all work out. Everyone will help me. They are cool like that.

We were able to talk to Elder Macoubrie on Christmas day. He sounded great - happy and healthy. Working hard. Fortunately, even after the craziness of a last minute transfer, to Union City - just south of Atlanta - he got *most* of his Christmas packages. As of today, he's been out in 9 months. Time is really flying by.
