Whats up weasel!
Thanks for that package you sent. That sweater came just in time...
Well this week is full of everything. Transfers are back again and they are on Wednesday. All we know this far is that we have to go to PeachTree City and you know what that means. One of us is going to a new area. I can’t tell or even know who it might be but that’s just what the Lord wants…is one of us to a new area. Kind of stinks but whatever the Lord says go. Plus Elder Forbush, one of the missionaries staying in our apartment with me, is heading home. His 2 years is up and sadly he must be flying home on Tuesday just in time for the holiday season.
This week has been really good just fast.... Boy has it just flown by. Monday and Tuesday were just regular days in fact they all were just regular days until Friday. Friday we had a big zone conference and President just taught us things that will really improve the mission and the work that we are trying to do. It’s basically like this... I hope it will all make sense... Missionaries don’t really have a vision to baptize. We say we do but in reality we don’t. He gave us tips, ideas, strategies to help get the vision with in us and the work moving faster. It’s crazy how each mission president has their own vision for what they want to do on their mission. Crazy!
Everything has just been peachy this week. Lessons are going good. Megan and Max still really want to be baptized. Sadly most of our appointments with all of our investigators fell through and that was a bummer but hey... What can we do? We have a new investigator. Her name is Barbara. She’s a really sweet lady black probably around 50-60. She’s come to church 2 times and really likes it. We really haven’t taught her much. She’s has been really busy - surgery and stuff. But we will soon. Hopefully she will have that desire to be baptized. It’s so much fun and so exciting people to accept the gospel of Jesus Christ. It’s way exciting.
This week I have really just studied the atonement a lot and really what it means to me and everyone around me. It’s not that Christ suffered for sin. He really suffered to have compassion. Well in other words every sin we make it’s not that He suffers that much. He will plead with the Father for our sakes so that we can return to him. It’s crazy to imagine and ponder about. The atonement. I have studied so much of it but I have barely scraped the surface. All I know is to study study study.
The weather has been great. An unusually warm winter thus far. Except for today. It’s raining like cats and dogs. Its soo nice. Minus the stupid drivers that don’t know how to drive in the rain... Drives me bonkers. It’s a little rain..it’s not like a flood. But hey what can you expect?!
Well that’s about it down in the Macon.
Ho ho ho merry Christmas!!!
Love elder macoubrie
