Hello Macon South

Hey goobers!

How is everything up in the CO? Well everything really has been all changed around. I am currently serving in the most crime infested area in the whole United States....Macon and why do I say that is because I freaking love it down here. My area is formally called Macon south. So I get to really cover all the really ghetto places which is really cool to serve in. I love it here so far. I can’t believe it is Monday. This week went by so fast and is picking up speed. My new companion is Elder Pasiaka. He is from New Zealand. He’s just a super guy. Loves to work hard and really is a good example to me and the work that we are doing.  I’m trying to get him to teach me the haka like off “ Forever Strong”. But who knows. The work here is great. There are a lot of people in the area that want to learn about the restoration. I will say I have never spent so much time in the projects but the sincerity of the people there is amazing. Hopefully there will be a couple baptisms in this short transfer that we have. It’s only a 5 week transfer instead of 6 but hey there’s a lot going on so we have to be on our toes. :) I still really miss Fort Benning but this is a new chapter in my life and in my mission, but our ward makes up for it alright. The ward is a missionary involved it’s crazy. Everyone wants us to be successful so they are willing to do whatever it takes to get the work moving. As soon as I got here we went straight to lessons basically and haven’t stopped. Even though the appointments we have fall through somehow we  always have more work to keep going and finding more people. Our ward mission leader is named Brother Bennion. He’s an awesome guy. He is a really smart guy. I think graduated from Mercer Law or is still attending, I’m not sure but he came out with us on a team up and went to  see some less actives and appointments we had. We went to see this one lady that has a terminal cancer and isn’t supposed to make it much longer but her spirits are high and she has such a determination to keep pressing on. She really reminded me of Grandma Mary and not ever quitting. But the spirit was so strong and Bro Bennion said that me and Sis Duncan connected really well. She knows that we have to have faith in whatever we do. And it really made me think about faith and repentance. Basic principles of the gospel that when thought about can  go really deep and really strengthen our testimonies when we live those principles.

My current living situation is a 5 man apartment. We live with the zone leaders who are training a new missionary and Elder Pasiaka is my district leader so I get to be around a lot of leadership and it so fun to watch how everything gets to run and how everyone acts around each other. Good thing I’m not going leadership :) but that’s all that’s new that’s been happening down here in Macon, GA. Love you all have a good week and work and study hard!

~happy thanksgiving~

Find out if Elder Pasiaka is from the North or South Island. And if he knows any Sorensens... (I'm related to them through marriage!)

Haka would be an awesome addition to Will's missionary experiences/lessons learned!
