Leaving Cussetta

Hey Kimmer!

Sorry it’s taken me so long. Libraries were closed yesterday and so I guess I will write today....

Well this has been an interesting 3 months down in Cusseta, sadly I’m getting transferred again. I don’t know where yet but I’ll find out on Wednesday when we have transfer meeting. President Harding has switched a few more things up so its interesting to see how everything is all playing out. It’s definitely a nice change. I’ll be sad to leave Cusseta and the base but there’s always missionary work to do and I guess it was my turn to go do more work.

Fort Benning was good this week. The spirit was really strong today and things are really going well there. We will have at least 3 more baptisms in the next couple weeks. It sucks that I won’t be able to go see them or be a part of them. It’s such a spirit booster when all the soldiers are doing the missionary work. I just can’t wait till it’s my day to be in there. To be serving one day. I have been hearing because of our current administration in the White House there are a lot of people retiring and that’s really scary to see that there’s a lot of vacancies and there’s a lot of talk and stuff going on about cutting jobs from the military. Really really scary.

Things in Cusseta are still going good. There isn’t really too much work happening sadly but we have tried our best to do everything that we can do get more work going. A couple of our investigators have been pretty sketchy to go catch and see but luckily we caught them finally and were able to teach them. It was such a relief to actually start teaching them. I hope and pray that they will keep going. This gospel will only make us a better family and a better friend to those around us. Anything positive it will help us.

The Book of Mormon reading is still going. We should be on page 260 and if you’re behind catch up. It’s not too late to catch up and it will be really good if you read it all the way through. It’s been tough to read this week. A lot of meetings and things that we were asked to read but luckily I’m still in the game in that challenge. President came down the other day and were able to teach us a lot of good things. About blessing people and talking to those, and just having faith to keep going. It was a really good lesson that I will carry out the rest of my mission. A lot of good tools :) we also had a good talk about facing adversity and the things that will help us not give up the fight.

1. Don’t give up the fight.
2. Our attitude not our aptitude determines our altitude.
3. The Lord will not give us a challenge that we cannot overcome.

These things will help us in whatever we face. We just have to remember to turn to the lord and do all that we can to be happy! Remember, there are always things that we don’t like doing or don’t want to do but we must have a good attitude to do what the Lord asks.

Well that’s about it for this week. I don’t have anything new to say but I will next week :)

Love y’all so much have a good week:)

Love
Elder Macoubrie
