Hey Kimmer!
Don’t worry I’ll help fast for you! I really hope that everything will work. I’ve been praying extra hard for everything.
Everything here is great! The work is going and the time has just been flying by really. I can’t believe 2 weeks is already up into the transfer. Just flown by. That’s so funny that Tim called you. He’s the
owner of Jus BBQ that we did service at in Cusseta. Most Fridays when we went over there he helped keep me sane sometimes from that area but that’s so funny! He’s such a good guy.
Thanksgiving was good here. We went over to the Barber’s home, just a family in the ward. The weather was just beautiful and everything was just amazing there. Of course I ate a lot but luckily it doesn’t show.... But they really reminded me of home and the times that we spent on Thanksgiving. We were told that we just had to work on that day. No dropping in on people like normal but set appointments to go and bless them and their home as much as we could. And that really was just a blessing to do every day. We just bless people and teach and it’s really fun to do that. It changes how people act to us and how people respond to the special message we have for them.
Mom, I know that there are reasons why the wards got changed
back. We may not know why or for how long but everything happens for a reason. You
were and are needed in primary just as much as I’m needed in GA. We never know
the reasons why we do the things we do. But you can do it. Have a good
attitude. When we have a good attitude we can do all things... I mean all
things! Just think about that really hard. We can do all things. Plus you and
dad will have a positive influence on those kids’ lives. They will always
remember what you teach them. So don’t keep being sad, get glad. Don’t worry be
happy :)
Well it’s sad to say but no Christmas lights or anything over here yet in my apartment. Our place is just dull and boring. But I feel the Christmas spirit. It’s my favorite time of the year. You really can feel the Savior’s love more and more as we listen and put of focus to Christ himself.
Macon is a super good area. The people are just awesome and we really do have awesome investigators. We do a lot of work in the projects and the lower income areas but it’s so fun because that’s where you get the more humble people that will actually listen to you most times. We are teaching a couple kids named Megan and Max. Super cool family. Mom and dad are members but was less active for a while so it’s a strain to keep them coming to church for the whole 3 hours but we finally got them to stay and the kids liked it. The parent don’t want to force their kids to do anything which is good. It needs to be their experience not the parents. Super awesome family. Really ready to listen and accept the gospel.
But that’s really about it. I’ll keep telling you about people as we find them and teach them more that’s for sure :)
I hope everything is well at home and Happy Thanksgiving.
Love
elder Macoubrie
P.S. I don’t need anything for Christmas go buy everyone else and extra gift :)
