Well hello there folks and friends to the great Elder Macoubrie!
I fasted for you and Aaron. I hope you felt the spirit and felt the prayers that I sent your way
how special is it to be my friend? Hah alright it really isn’t that special but oh well it’s still fun to say.
This week has really been an interesting one. Monday and Tuesday were just regular days really just worked and did our best to talk to as many people as we could... But Wednesday is when the really interesting part happened. We had Elder Corbridge of the Seventy come into town and had a special zone conference meeting. Before the meeting my companions told me that I was being interviewed by him! And despite me trying to deny that fact, I was 1 out of 3 people that was able to be interviewed by a Seventy!!! And boy was I nervous. We were able just to talk about all the basic stuff. How my mission was going. Why I came about the family. All that cool stuff. He told me that I could basically do good in the military that I have a good personality to do that. So that helped my confidence go up. And the really cool part for you and dad was that he told me to tell you that you did an awesome job raising a son like me.... No joke almost the exact words from the Seventy!!! So give yourself a pat on the back. He gave us missionaries a lot more tools to use to really help us live up to our potential as missionaries and as representatives of Jesus Christ.
The rest of our week has just been splendid I guess.
We taught Megan and Max again and they both want to be baptized but I feel that there is another concern to the whole baptism thing and I can’t really figure it out. But they want to be so now it’s a waiting game.
One of our other investigators is Freddy and Joanne. They are both really good humble people but I don’t think they really understand our purpose as missionaries. I think that they like us coming over just to hear the word. We have invited them out to church but haven’t come. "Something always comes up" and that’s really annoying that happens but hopefully we can get them to be progressing. It’s annoying that people won’t do what they say. There’s nothing really that I can do to force them to do it. It’s just a waiting game for the most part.
The weather is cooling off...slowly. Drops down into the lower 40s and warms up to be about 70s. It makes for a nice day to do some work for the Lord. I really love what I am able to do here in middle Georgia area.
The broadcast they put on last nice was so short. I wish it was longer. I loved what the First Presidency said. Gave me a good idea for a Christmas present for the family not that it will be much but I can at least try. Where is everyone going to be for Christmas?
Well that’s really about it. Happy holidays it was good hearing from you I hope you have a good day :)
love your dearest,
elder macoubrie
