SNOW!!

SNOW!

I really can’t believe I got to see snow! It’s been way too long! Well so let me tell you about the adventures in the snow we had last week. So it snowed like 2 inches at most. But it was really really wet and the temp just bombed like crazy. So it got nasty icy. Luckily the church and the mission "car arrested" us, therefor we couldn’t drive at all. Which was good. But I heard from a couple people that there were something like 800 accidents all over Atlanta!! There were some members of the ward that it took them like 8.5 hours to drive 3 miles!?!?! It was nuts. We just got an opportunity to get out there and walk around and talk with everyone. It’s funny though, I was on exchanges in a lower class neighborhood and normally when it snows people go inside to stay warm right? Well no one has seen snow so everyone was outside. It was amazing. We pushed like 10 cars out of the road and then we talked with amazing people. I went to a Spanish speaking area and of course I don’t speak Spanish but we talked with a lady whose name is Alma and although I didn’t understand a single word there is one thing that is universal and that’s the spirit and the spirit was there big time. The other missionaries went back and invited her to be baptized and her and her husband accepted the invitation. It was amazing! The church is so true.

You know this week was about the same as another. Appointments fell through, people disappeared but I know that this work is for real. You know once one gets of his/her mission for the Lord, they will most likely never remember the bad parts about people cancelling and what not they will always remember the good stuff. Baptisms, miracles, and families it’s just like that. It’s amazing. I don’t always remember those bad moments but when I do or that I experience one I just know that with how ever many bad ones there's always good ones that trump them.

But sad day! Broncos got romped! I had members send the scores and tell me about the big plays and man poor ponies they got eaten alive by them dag gum sea-hawks. From what I heard it was like they didn't even show up to the game sadly. :*( But there's always next year :)

Elder Woodward and I are doing really good. Everyone is doing fine and we just keep trucking along. Fighting against the adversary.

Well that’s about it from the Peach State.

Love,
Elder Macoubrie
