Work and Miracles

Well what a week indeed it has been! So much rain and thunderstorms and the 4th of July got rained out :/ but it didn’t matter to me all that much because we just worked and then went inside at the right time. Pretty boring for me.

Had amazing miracles just being able to talk to everyone. We were actually riding our bikes and this lady named Latoya yelled at us and told us to stop. So..we did. She actually started off asking for a dollar (of which we both didn’t have one) but I told her that I have a card that will change her life if she wanted it to. And she broke down. She basically told us her life story all wrapped up into a 5 minute cry session. She is addicted to drugs and has a daughter and I felt her need for the atonement more in her life. It was so sad. I could feel her depression. It really helped me learn a lot about being humble. It doesn’t matter how big my problems are they are never that big. I can always turn to my Savior and reach His hand of redeeming love. There is always someone worse off than we are. We must always that everything happens for a reason and that it really is never that bad. It’s just Satan trying to mess with your mind trying to get you to fail. This time of the latter days is an all-out battle being good and evil! Which side will you choose?

The work of the Lord never ceases to amaze me. We do this cool conference call throughout the mission where each missionary companionship gets to report their miracles that happened for that day. And what an amazing thing that is. You truly get to feel the spirit of the Lord every time they report their miracles. They may be minute but they are miracles sent from heaven so that are always spirit packed!

Transfers are coming up and no news yet. They are on the 17th so we will find out next week on what will happen. But the week has been so much fun. It’s been an interesting balance of fighting the weather and riding bikes. But guess what?! The work of the Lord will never quit, rain, snow, sleet, shine, tornados - I don’t care! I will work until every single soul in the Atlanta area is found taught and baptized. Impossible? Nope. Nothing’s impossible for the Lord and his army. And yes every single one of us is in the Lord’s army and we must stand tall and fight forever until the enemy is defeated.

Most of our investigators sadly have just fallen off the map. Lost contact disappeared but that’s alright. Gives us more work to do and more energy we get to have to find and rescue.

Everything is so amazing in the mission field. I am so privileged and honored that the Lord has found me worthy and ready to serve a mission. I can’t believe how long I have left! I hope I can serve the rest of my life. It’s such an amazing work I love it!!!!

Love you all so much!
Love,
E mac
