Baptism!

Kimmie!

Well this week has just been awesome! Anthony got baptized; our ward has 6 baptisms in just 2 days! What an amazing weekend.

Well Anthony finally got baptized. And boy has that been such a long time coming. His baptism was way too long overdue but he finally made the commitment to keep going and keep pressing on. He really has taught me a lot about pressing on and enduring with faith. Anthony Burnette really had a desire to know if the church was true. His faith never faltered and he never doubted. He put his trust in the Lord and asked in the most sincere prayer I have ever felt last week and the baptism was just as great. We had a huge turnout for the baptism and the spirit invigorated the whole room His presence was felt by everybody. That is one family that will forever be blessed because of that one commitment. Just like Cindy and Chris they now can be eternal families forever!! Wow such a strong sentence right there.... Eternal family!

We have one investigator that will be converted for sure soon. Her name is Tasha. She’s a single lady about mid-40s and has a bunch of kids. She has just been taking lessons by herself but we talked to her after she came to church for the first time and told her we want the whole family to be involved. She came to another baptism on Saturday where a family of 5 took that commitment and Tasha really felt the spirit there and at church. I know she needs more time just to be able to feel the sprit more and be able to have those feelings of the church is true. But in due time and on the Lord’s time she will take that next step in her life.

This week has been slow for us in the Union City area but the Lord is somehow helping us do the work we need. He has a plan for us and we may not see that plan right away but we all need to have patience and trust and put our faith in the Lord and always ask Him for help and ask for His guidance in all that we do.

I just read back in the Book of Mormon today and I am in Mosiah. Right where King Benjamin is beginning his speech to the people. Do you think those people were prepared for what he was about to say? Do you think they expected it to change their life? Nooo but hey neither did I before I came out on my mission. I never expected to change in the way that I have but the Lord knows us personally and if we read the scriptures and pray and ask for help He will change our hearts and our desires. He will help us be obedient and He will help us change our attitude about life and the struggles we are having. I know that because I have seen it in my missionary work. I have seen it in my self and I know that it will do the same for every one of you. I promise!!

Todd looks like a hippie tell him I said he needs that shave that sheep on top of his head. Thanks for the pictures they are awesome!

I love you helmet keep up the hard work. Nothing is too hard to no accomplish.

I love you and miss you every day! Keep your head up.

Love,
Elder Macoubrie
