Hey everyone!
Sorry that I haven’t written this
week. We actually switched our pday to today because that’s what we do when we
go to the temple. I love the temple. I love feeling the spirit there and receiving
revelation for myself and for the missionaries that I serve over and with.
Well let’s see what’s happened so
far this week. Actually not much has been going on. We have just been working
like crazy and trying to find new people to teach. We have been trying to
achieve 20 member presents this weekend but haven’t had too much success in
that area but we are never doubting and never quitting to achieve what the Lord
wants us to do. That is one of my main goals for the rest of my mission is
trying to achieve the standards of excellence. It means a whole lot more work
in trying to do that but I’m up for the challenge.
Being a district leader is a
different pace for what I am used to. You know it’s not that I lose a lot of
time to that responsibility but I have a lot more things that I have to pay
attention to. There definitely is a lot more administration work and a lot more
worries about the other missionaries in the other areas. Plus with this
certification binder program I have to make sure that every missionary is on
track. It’s definitely a change but I love it. It’s so fun to work with the
missionaries more and understand who they are. But to answer your question...Nope
still no car. We still get to ride bike luckily. :)
Happy Father’s Day to all the
fathers! Our ward had stake conference on Father’s Day so naturally we didn’t
do anything. They just got to be fed by the spirit :) way better than a candy
bar. But it was a good day. The weather has just been a spring season. Lots of
thunder storms and it has been getting super humid. That’s the bad part is the humidity.
Just makes you feel all nasty all day. But I can’t complain I love it.
All of our investigators are still
floating. None of them are progressing that way we need them to. I know they
all have so much potential they just need to see how much potential they
actually have. I think that we all need to see actually how much potential we
have before we start letting others know. I know that we are all brothers and
sisters and that we all can become like God. It’s so amazing to see what we can
become if we truly strive to become like our savior Jesus Christ. It’s a matter
of prayer and effort on our part. I know that the Lord is preparing thousands
of people every day. But it’s all of our jobs as members of The Church of Jesus
Christ of latter-day saints to find them, invite them, and teach them and to
baptize them. When we don’t do that we are really limiting their eternal
salvation. So I promise you that if you pray for missionary opportunities that
the Lord will give them to you. Just look for those miracles.
Thanks so much I love you all so
much!
Love,
Elder William Macoubrie
