Life in Carrollton

Hey Kimmie!

Of course I’ll be sending pictures soon! It just takes time (what little I have) and I am trying to get the good quality pictures mane! This stuff takes time punk so have patience. Remember it’s a virtue. Haha kidding but I’m working on it. I don’t really have any cool ones to send. So I’m trying to find stuff to take pictures of.

Everything here is good! Thanks so much for the package! You know just what I like especially with all them mms :) Carrollton is really good this week. President Snow asked our zone to try and teach 20 lessons a week to the ward council and the investigators we have. Sadly we didn’t get all of the 20 but we at least got 11 lessons. It’s a really neat experience having an Emeritus 70 be our temporary Mission President. He just gets to work and shows us how to do it.

Carrollton is actually a lot like Fort Collins. It has a college (West Georgia State) and the kids are starting to move in.  I don’t know where you heard that I was a good teacher... Whoever said that is a big time liar so I wouldn’t believe that for nothing. I have had to learn to teach better as I am the one that mostly leads the discussions so that always helps being forced to learn quickly. All thanks to my trainer Elder Reid that showed me how to do it :)

Elder Summers is pretty cool; really fun. He likes to sing and be goofy. He’s a pretty good teacher as well and we have a lot of fun. We haven’t exactly seen eye to eye the past couple days but we are slowly working it out. And I have of course been watching my temper although it has been hard. Buts it’s all good.

It’s been pretty warm here to. Luckily our a/c is always on haha. I am so thankful for that. Like at home, the nights cool down enough to open the window. Here no. You will roast so much. It’s really funny how different the weather is out here than home. I heard about that shooting in Colorado in Aurora!!! That’s so scary! Man what is the world coming to lately? I can’t wait to go see all the new movies that are coming out while I am our here.

I hope I’ll be able to go as an adult when I come back. Just to help out. I won’t have a job so I’ll have to do something to keep me active until I find one. Hopefully Lake Powell will hire me back on so I can save up and go to school and stuff but we will have to see what happens in 20 months. That so funny that Shelby is counting down. I haven’t even told him anything about how long I have. Haha

So funny thing happened yesterday. We have an investigator named Sarah. She has a baptism date for September 1st and is so ready for it. But we had to get permission from her husband and he was really anti about the church mostly because he didn’t understand what we were doing or believed in. We got a text from Salt Lake and had a referral for her husband Randy. He called us and told us he wanted to come to church!!! And he read the whole Book of Mormon in a week! So hopefully that will work out so we can teach him and get him progressing to a baptism date:)
We also have Troy. He’s a younger black guy who is investigating the church. He has been at sacrament the last couple weeks and he says he loves it so hopefully we can get him the lessons and a date. He has been having some family issues.
But that’s about it we have a few more people that I will probably know more about when we teach them but they might be for next time :)

Well that’s about it! I hope you have a good week!

Love you soooo much.

Love,

Elder Macdizzle

P.S. dude I weigh 200 lbs of just straight muscle! So I don’t know how much better I could be. You’ll be impressed when I come home and flex!

Almost time to go to Omaha again! That’s so exciting. I’m so jealous that I can’t be there but I’ll be there in spirit for sure!!!!!
