Dan,
Thanks for your letter bud, it means a lot! I miss you like crazy. Dan, I want you to know that I love you. I almost cried reading your letter and while I'm writing this. Remember that when my name tag say "Elder Macoubrie - The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints". I am a representative of Jesus Christ! I act for God, in God's name. I am so happy you have a desire to serve. Dan, talk to your Heavenly Father every day. Morning and night. Will you try and do that? Pray to God and Heavenly Father - they will bless you so much if you do that! And also read The Book of Mormon every day. Prepare to serve. I didn't prepare as much as I should have.
I'll tell you about my day. Typically I wake up around 6-6:30 am, take a shower and get ready for the day. Around 7, me and my companions go our classroom and study for an hour, then breakfast. After breakfast it normally goes either zone teaching/class time/gym time. Then after those we go to lunch at 12:30. So those classes normally last a while. After lunch we do a lot of different stuff. Class time, TRC (its where we teach real people), gym or anything. Then around 5:30 pm-ish we have dinner. Then class again. Sometimes another TRC or study time. That my day after day. Pretty boring, but I'm almost done at the MTC then Georgia :) So pumped bro.
Dan, if I have learned one thing here at the MTC its that we all need to pray, read, listen to the Holy Ghost. You need to listen more. Do that for me! Tell Mom and Dad to do it too. Dude, on Easter we had President Boyd K. Packer come talk to us. That is the most inspiring man I have ever seen/heard speak. He told us to obey. Do not fear for fear is the opposite of faith. Don't have fear! And last night (Tuesday) we had Bishop McMillin. He is yet another great man. He told us that prayer is a sacred communication with God. And to bear our testimonies often. Dan, a mission the hardest thing I have ever done. Its a lot of work, but I know what I need to do. My companion is Elder Thompson. He is from Ogden, UT. My other roommates are from California, that's Elder Johnson. Elder Gildeadi is from AZ. They are both pretty cool. I like being in the MTC but am so stoked for Atlanta. And of course I'll send stickers, HAHA. And for those iPods, just put MOTAB on them and Church music. I can't listen to much so Motab mostly, and classical. I think Inside Out would be okay.
There is so much I need to tell you but don't want to write a novel. I need you to get me some addresses. I want as many as I can, do don't forget to do that please! Thanks for everything you do bud. You're the best little brother. Dan, Jesus Christ lives. He does. I know he came to atone for our sins. Joseph Smith is a true prophet. He also sacrificed his life for us to have the BOM and this amazing church. The Holy Ghost is a messenger of God to help guide us in our lives. Listen to Him and for Him. I love you Dan. I miss you like crazy.
Love
Elder William Macoubrie
